ENGLISH FA CUP ANALYSIS: Everton vs Manchester City. Can the Citizens keep their hope of a Quadruple intact as they take on the Toffees?
We are back to the English FA Cup with 2 of the 4 Quarter final fixtures going down today. Championship side, AFC Bournemouth host Southampton, whilst Manchester City will travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton. I bet you don't need to look at the Header of this before guessing which game I would go for, smiles. Let's proceed to the analysis, shall we? As in my usual manner, we will be starting with the home team: EVERTON: 1) If we are to talk about form or "head to head" between both sides, you definitely won't be given this game to Everton. However, 1 thing Carlos Ancelotti's men have that Pep Guardiola's men don't is the advantage of playing at home. Hopefully, Carlos Ancelotti's men will make good use of this advantege. Moving on to Manchester City: MANCHESTER CITY: 1) The Citzens' better "head to head" against the Toffees in both teams' last 5 meetings is my first stat in favor of the former. They, Manchester City, are on a 5 matches winning run of games, with 3 of these wins earned at Goodison Park. A huge stat for Pep Guardiola's men you want to say 2) City's better performance in their last 8 games in all competitions compared to Everton's is another stat that favors them as well. The Citizens have won 7 of their last 8 games, whilst the Toffees have 4 wins and 4 draws in as many games. Another good one for Pep Guardiola, isn't it? CONCLUSION: Based on the stats before us, City should be able to claim another win here. I'm in for suprises too, though. Your thoughts and predictions are appreciated as always. Love always from your Football Analyst and Writer, IbkDaGreat.
